Is Pressure washing my car bad?
If your car's paint in intact it is not going to harm the paint at all as long as you use a 5 degree of better tip on the gun.If would not try the 0 degree tip at any pressure.
0 degrees is the one thin stream of water, when the water is not fanning out at all.
Also watch out for vinyl graphics, pin stripes, dealer stickers, as it will remove them, but will not harm a normal paint job in good condition.
Stand back from the car a few feet and spray away.
Most pressure washers, up to 1800 psi are made specifically for cars.
What I use is indeed excessive, but only mentioned to prove to you that it will not harm the paint.
So,
1.) Make sure the water coming out of the gun has a fan to it and not just one straight stream.
2.) Stay clear of vinyl graphics, pin stripes and dealer stickers unless you are back at least 6 feet.
3.) If this is the first time that you are using a pressure washer on a vehicle, I would make sure it is no more than 1800 psi until you get used to it.
4.) Do not hold the tip of the gun right up to the paint ... stand back a few feet.
Why detail a new car?
Today’s factory finishes are fully cured when they leave the factory. Despite what your dealer may have told you, it is safe and recommended to apply wax 20 days after you acquire your new vehicle. If your vehicle has been completely or partially refinished by a body shop, it is recommended to wait a month before applying wax or sealants.
How can I keep my vehicle looking good between washes?
Frequent damp terry cloth & micro fiber towel wipe downs between your Ultraluster applications is the most important preventive maintenance for your vehicle's appearance this product will last three to six months if kept outside and nine months to one year if garage keptIf you have a garage at your home you may think a car cover will be of no use to you, however that is very untrue. You may have a garage to store your vehicle in most of the time but there are always times when for one reason or another the garage cannot be used for your vehicle. There are also the times when your car is away from home at a store or park or possibly on a trip somewhere. If you truly want the best protection for your vehicle then you need a car cover.
Any person who has been to a public parking lot in recent years has probably noticed the vast amount of vehicles in the lot. Sometimes you may drive around for ten minutes trying to find a parking spot. This would be an excellent time to have a car cover for your vehicle, providing extra protection against reckless people, who may bump into your vehicle with a door, cart or occasionally a car. Oftentimes in parking areas, people will not report damaging another vehicle because they look at the area and may not see any damage. If you have a cover on your car there will be no more door dings or cart bumps that can damage your vehicle. Car covers can provide enough protection for your vehicle that some of the minor bumps by parking vehicles may not cause damage.
Another reason you should invest in a car cover is the protection it may provide against damaging weather. Hail damage is the number one non accident cause of damage often reported on insurance claims. In the best of storms you may end up with pea size hail causing a few thousand dollars in damage to your unprotected vehicle. If you should use a cover for your car, the same storm is not going to cause any damage because the cover may protect your car from the hail. Another cause of damage in storms that can be prevented with a cover is falling twigs and small tree branches and debris. The small branches are often enough to damage a new paint job on your vehicle.
Regardless of whether you have a garage or not, investing in a cover for your vehicle is smart. You may save a lot of money from minor repairs needed on your car due to parking mishaps and stormy weather.
Can Automatic Car Washes Damage Your Car
Automatic/drive-through car washes are more popular than ever because they save time and hassle. But are automatic car washes safe for your car? In fact, in many instances, they are the "safest" course of action for many car owners who want to keep their car clean.
In fact, automatic car washes can be safer for your car's finish than washing your car yourself because do-it-yourselfers sometimes don't use enough water to safely remove dirt; or they wash the car in direct sunlight -- which can burn spots in the paint. Or they use the wrong type of soap -- such as dishwashing detergent, which removes protective wax and leaves a chalky residue on the finish. Or any one of several common mistakes can end up doing more harm than good.
Getting ready sell your vehicle?
Eveyone wants to buy a clean car. Beside, clean cars make people feel good! When it comes to selling your car, you never get a second chance to make a great first impression. The most important thing is to clean the car inside and out. A clean, shiny car gives the impression that you care about the car have maintained the condition of it. This will also increase your vehicle's re-sale price significantly.
Turning in a leased car?
When it comes to turning in your leased vehicle, you will never get all the money back if you turn in a uncleand vehicle, so why not make a great first impression, the most important thing is to clean the car inside and out. This will increase the money back on your lease significantly.
Why are your prices so different?
We are after a completely different goal and our ultimate results require a higher level of skill. Many detail outfits focus on quick wash and wax type services where we work toward improvement looking ultimately toward perfection. A particular level of skill coupled with veteran experience is required to perfect the often delicate surfaces of your vehicle and when looking at paint restoration, what we are strongly known for, this is simply not something that should be chanced because once that mistake is made, there is no going back.
While still completely affordable and customizable, our services are for those who simply want the best for their vehicle.

A premium detailing services takes time. For example if you were to have your meal at a five star restaurant, you will need to wait for your meal to arrive slightly longer than your average fast food restaurant. But, the difference between the two meals cannot be argued. Back to our services, it will also simply take much longer because our goals that we want to provide for our customers is different as well. Quality takes time. Even a mild restoration will take 6-10 hours. It is not uncommon for our most intensive services will take from 2-5 days.
Should my brand new vehicle be detailed?
Many owners will have this question. But they fail to know that many vehicles, despite being brand new to the owner even leave the factory with imperfections. While in port, or at the dealership vehicles often sit outside exposed by different kind of elements with no protection allowing bird droppings, acidic rain, as well as a multitude of airborne contamination to leave their marks on that new vehicle. Typically vehicles are given a quick wipe down or run through an express car wash to remove the settled dirt and dust.
What kind of products are you using?
We do not use products containing cheap silicones, masking or concealing agents or any acidic cleaners on the often delicate surfaces of automobiles. Our products are tested over a period of time to ensure that it provides the best quality and results so that we can give the best to our customers.
Do you accept all types of vehicles?
Yes. If the premium difference matters to you and you are interested in having any vehicle of yours prepared simply contact us.
FAQs
1. "What's the difference between a Polish and a Wax?"
Pure Polish is formulated to give paint a deep brilliant shine. It can be likened to a skin moisturiser. Paint like skin can dry out and a combination of oils are used to condition the paint and produce a deep rich gloss. A pure polish contains no abrasive and provides no protection from the elements 。
2. "What's the difference between our consumer and professional product?"
Our professional products have been formulated for use by paint and bodyshop professionals, typically with a high speed rotary buffer. Untrained use could lead to more damage than improvement. Our consumer line has been developed for simple straightforward use by hand or with an orbital buffer and application is completely safe in all situations.
3. "How long should I leave it before wiping off?"
Wax Products
All of our wax products need to dry before removal. When you can make a clean swipe with your finger (typically up to 10 minutes depending on weather/ ambient temperature) the product is ready for the final wipe down. There is no maximum time that the wax can should be left on the paintwork, so it is usually good practice to apply wax to the whole vehicle before starting to wipe off.
Polish and Paint Cleaners
These products all need to before removed before they fully dry. They should be applied to relatively small areas e.g. a door or half a bonnet, and removed before moving on to the next panel to be treated.
4. "How long will my wax protection last?"
This will be different for each user and will be determined by numerous factors such as: the age of the car, the weather, mileage covered, how often the car is washed, and whether it is kept under cover.
5. "What's this Quik Clay used for?"
After you've washed and dried your paintwork, run your fingertips over the surface. It is likely that you will feel small imperfections. These are contaminants bonded to the paint that cannot be removed with washing alone. Typically these would be tree sap, remnants of bird lime, industrial fallout or even paint overspray. Quik Clay has been designed as the perfect method of safely removing these imperfections. Break off a third or half of the clay bar and mould into a flat patty. Spray the Quik Detailer supplied onto the contaminated surface and rub the clay patty over through the lubricant. The contaminants will stick to the non-abrasive clay bar leaving the paint surface as smooth as glass.
6. "How do I reduce swirls and fine scratches in my paintwork?"
It's the washing process that inflicts most "swirls" or light circular scratches in paintwork. This is because tiny particles are trapped between the face of the sponge and the paint surface. By using a deep pile wash mitt these particles will be absorbed into the pile where they will do a lot less damage.
7. "Should I re-wax after every wash?"
Not if you use a good quality car wash shampoo. All Chemical Guys's shampoos will safely removed traffic film and contaminants without damaging the protective wax coating. Harsher detergents will strip polish and wax from the paint and significantly reduce the life of the wax protection.
8. "What should I use to apply and remove Chemical Guys's products?"
Ideally we would recommend applying our products with a foam applicator pad and removal with a 100% cotton towel. Product can also be applied with a cotton towel and removed with our micro-fibre "Ultimate Wipe".
9. "What's the difference between Quik Detailer and Final Inspection?"
Final Inspection is paintable. This is of no direct benefit to most consumer enthusiasts.
10. "How can I remove white stains from my vinyl trim?"
Spray some "Silk Shine Dressing" onto a clean terry towel rag and wipe the residue. Follow with the application of some "Extreme Shine" or "Natural Shine Vinyl Protectant "
11. "What should I use to clean my wheels?"
Our "Wheel Guard" wheel cleaner is safe to use on all wheel types. This includes polished alloys, split rims and chrome finishes (i.e. all the types that other wheel cleaners tell you to avoid) Remember that wheels should be cool during application and rinsed thoroughly. The product may need to be agitated with a brush to remove stubborn stains and ground in brake dust.
